Toowong Football Club is pleased to welcome Emilio Raffaele to the club as our new Head Coach of the Women’s Capital team for the 2020 season. Emilio will be joined by an established coaching team (Renato Raffaele and Gianluca Raffaele) with a wealth of experience and success coaching women’s football, having coached NPLW Under 20s, BWPL and, most recently, Capital League at Tarragindi. Emilio and Gianluca are also former Toowong players, having played Capital Men’s football right up to QPL level in recent years. Renato lends additional experience, having previously coached Capital Men’s team.
Emilio says his team are, “passionate about delivering a quality and competitive women’s football program that promotes the development of players, as well as their enjoyment, while also fostering lifelong relationships and building a great culture throughout the entire women’s squad.”
The TFC Committee believe that Emilio and the team will build on our current program, sharing the club’s ambitions to grow women’s football at Toowong FC, with an aim to return Toowong back to the BWPL. The team is looking forward to the challenges ahead and working hard to live up to their own expectations, and the committee will be working extensively with the coaches to get our Capital team up and running with preparations for season 2020.
Trial dates are set for the following Tuesdays from 7:15 – 8:45pm.
