Toowong Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Laurie Di Felice as Head Coach of our Brisbane Premier League (BPL) team for 2021, our Centenary season.
As coach of our top reserves team over the last five years, Laurie has achieved major successes in his own right (including back-to-back grand final victories in 2018 and 2019), as well as providing a bedrock to the BPL programme that has seen the club progress from Capital 3 to the BPL during his tenure. Laurie is also a consummate Toowong FC Clubperson, having previously also coached our U18 squad alongside his other duties, and been named Clubperson of the Year in 2018.
Laurie will be joined in the BPL coaching team by Stephen Matheson and Stephen Lindsay, who helmed our City 1 Men’s team in 2020 after previously coaching our U18 and U20 teams. Both have a wealth of experience at the club and are ideally placed to continue our efforts to promote players through the ranks and foster talent across our junior and men’s teams.
The TFC Committee is confident that Laurie and the team will continue to build on our current program and successes, maintaining and building upon the terrific culture of hard work, effort and professionalism that has served the team well over the past five years.
Initial trial dates for the BPL 2021 season are set for the following days in December from 7.30pm to 9pm.
