Update 16 July 2021 – all games to proceed as scheduled

Football Qld have confirmed plans for the remainder of the season – they have taken over all aspects of competition management in Brisbane from this point onwards and are aiming to deliver the season as planned.

As some of you are aware there has been a significant escalation this week in an ongoing dispute between the Queensland and Brisbane football governing bodies. Consequently it is possible that Football Brisbane competition matches scheduled for this weekend will be suspended.

As it currently stands:
* training will continue as normal for all teams
* matches may be affected this weekend (17-18 July), but we’re hoping a solution will be found so that games can proceed

Our Masters and U6/7s teams are not affected by this situation, so games will go ahead as normal on Friday and Saturday.

We’ll ensure our football coordinators and team officials are updated as and when the situation changes so they can communicate this directly to parents, carers and players.
