2019 AGM

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of Toowong Football Club Inc. (the Club) will be held on 19 June 2019 at Toowong FC, Dunmore Park, 65 Lang Parade at 6.30 pm. 

BUSINESS 

  1. To confirm the Minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting held on 25 June 2019
  2. To receive the 2018 Report of the President on behalf of the Management Committee 
  3. To receive the Auditor’s and Financial Reports of the Club for the year ending 31 December 2018
  4. To appoint members to the Management Committee for the coming period
  5. To appoint an Auditor for the year ending 31 December 2019

NOMINATIONS 

  1. Any two Members of the Association shall be at liberty to nominate any other Member to serve as an officer or other member of the Management Committee (a parent of a child registered is a member)
  2. All nominations must be in writing and signed by the Member and his/her proposer and seconder on the attached nomination form 
  3. Please ensure valid nomination forms are lodged with the secretary no later than 12 June 2019 by one the following methods: 

– By mail: PO Box 1410, Toowong, Queensland, 4066

– By e-mail (preferred): secretary@toowongfc.com.au

– In person: to the secretary by arrangement 0401 348371  

  1. A list of candidates’ names in alphabetical order, with the proposers’ and seconders’ names shall be posted on the Clubhouse Notice Board for at least seven days immediately preceding the Annual General Meeting (from 12 June 2019) 

PROXIES 

  1. A Member may vote in person or by proxy or by attorney and shall have one vote. In a secret ballot every Member present in person or by proxy or by attorney or their duly authorised representative shall have one vote. 
  2. A Member has a right to appoint a proxy and that person need not be a Member of the Club. The appointment must be advised to the Club on a proxy form. 
  3. Please ensure that valid proxy forms are received by the secretary no later than 18 June 2019 and delivered by one the following methods:

– In person: to the secretary by arrangement 0401 348371  

QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS BY MEMBERS AT THE MEETING 

In accordance with the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 and the Club’s past practice, a reasonable opportunity will be given to Members at the meeting to ask questions of the management committee about, or make comments on, Club matters. Members also have the right to ask questions of the Auditor, to be taken on notice.
