Our female program is going from strength to strength and we are really, really excited. Our recently appointed Director of Female Participation (Karen Muir) is already well advanced with all the planning.
This is the first time the Club has had a dedicated person looking after the technical aspects of our female players and Karen is set to complete her FFA/AFC ‘C’ Licence (Youth) coaching accreditation in early 2019, demonstrating our commitment to the ongoing high level development of our community girls.
In 2019 we will field girls teams at Under 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 we also intend to offer a combined and affordable development team opportunity for those girls in the U11/12 group, a great opportunity for those girls that may have missed out on SAP or couldn’t commit for other reasons. This team will train 2 times a week.
As our Club grows and starts to reach capacity in some areas (senior men for instance), we had to look at ways to maximise our usable space. We are therefore excited to announce that in 2019 all of our females teams will train on the same day, Thursday, with the cafe opening to accommodate this. Our Miniroos and Juniors will training from 530pm through to 715pm, before our senior women take to the fields. We hope that this will foster a great bond between both the junior and senior sections of the Club.
We have also committed to ensuring our fees are the lowest in our area to make it as accessible as possible for as many girls as possible to get involved:
|Under 12 Girls
|Under 13 Girls
|Under 15 Girls
|Under 11/12 Development
We hope that you are as excited as we are about this, we cannot wait to see these teams take to the fields!
