Registration for MiniRoos also opens on 1st January 2018 and we are aiming to start training in the second week of February.

For the U09 and U10 age groups we will not be holding dedicated sessions to identify potential Komodo level players like last year, we will however we seeking to grade players during normal sessions to ensure that we have balance across each team, not just for the benefit of our players but also to improve the competitions. This will be led by Paulo, our returning Director of Coaching.

Our aim is to field a minimum of 3 teams in each age group, however we believe we can sustain 4 per age group and are keen to engage with parents, schools and other local networks to spread the word.
We are also entering girls’ teams at U09, U10, U11 and U12. We have already identified potential coaches for these teams.

  1. Hi
I have a 6 year old daughter that would like to take up football with the Toowong FC
Which category would she fit into please
    She has not played before

  2. Hi Pete, There are 3 young buddies all aged 7 signed up with Toowong to play this season. Moved away from biggest western suburbs club to great club I believe. Any chance they may be able to play in same team? Happy to come along on the 11th or 18th Feb. Cheers, Brooke

  3. Hi

My daughter turns 9 in March and is keen to play. She has never played before other than socially at school. Are you able to give me more information about what day/time this age group would normally play and do they only play at 1 location or do they have to travel? If they have to travel what areas do they have to travel too?

  4. We live at Paddington and I’m researching football clubs for my 6 year old (born 2010) son. Just wondering if you could please let me know the reg fees for this age group and if you are able to join a team (as we don’t know anyone at the club yet).

  5. Hi Pete, my son played in the under 9 last year for your club, I see that training is later for under 10. 6.30-7.30pm on Wednesday. is there any chance that training time can be changed? Maybe 4.30-5.30pm?

    1. Rob, unfortunately not – our numbers dictate that we need to have the two groups with the older kids in the later slot.

We can’t schedule any earlier than 530pm due to work commitments for the majority of parents but also our volunteers!

  6. Dear Pete – My son will be 6 in July, and my daughter 11 in November. Are there still available spots for their categories? Any suggestions as to what might be the best way forward for them? Cheers, Daniel
